NOTES on your PHOTOGRAPHER

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER:

Born and raised in Denmark, I'm very open minded and love to be creative. Equality - in every definition of the word - is in my DNA and taboos and tradition, to me, is something the world is better off without. I make no excuses and have nothing to apologize for; I'm not a professional (photographer), have no desire to become one and don't pretend to be one (like so many others do). Food pays my bills, photography enriches my life. 

The moment you become a professional, you are prostituting yourself to please others, in order to make it to the next paycheck. That's why I do it for free. I do what I like, on my own terms. 

I'm not interested in pretty. I'm interested in gritty. The raw. The natural. Reality in photography. My aim is to "pry open your mind with a crowbar" and force a response/reaction/opinion in you, whether good or bad. In other words, actually make you think a little bit. It's all about creativity. It's about breaking taboos and traditions and not do what everybody else is doing. Not interested in the mundane, the bland and the boring. It's goth over glam. Reality over fantasy.

I love the human body in it's natural state as it changes with age. From the perfect, smooth body to the deeply flawed one with all its wrinkles, sagging parts and battle scars. All you have to do...to love it, too...is to free your mind. But that being said, I want to point out that I don't do smut (as defined by me). There has to be artistic and/or creative value to it.

I'm not looking for freaks, creeps and pervs. I'm looking for normal, open minded, easy going people who like to do something new in a different way and enjoy the process along the way.

When people hear I do photography for free, I'm often asked about weddings, etc. I see my style as being more suited to "civil ceremonies" than to "elaborate, traditional weddings", simply because I typically approach thing with an element of humour and reality, rather than grandeur and pretentious snobbery, and because I am extremely easy going and down to earth.

If you want "traditional", hire a professional photographer and get the mindlessly boring stuff that everyone else has. If you want something you can enjoy long after the honeymoon is over, I might be the one you are looking for. I am not "traditional". Now you are warned, and humour is a part of the package with me.

 

THIS PAGE IN GENERAL:

Ok, the top of the page is all about word-smithing. They're short stories, random thoughts, opinions and words of advice. In short; all words. But words are the basis of all spoken/written communication and communication is the basis of comprehension/understanding, which just happens to be the basis of acceptance and "peace" as in getting along, even if not agreeing. 

On your right are my model shoots and other celestial celebrations in same orbit, like concept ideas and a potential wardrobe.

On your left are stories and adventures, presented i pixels, including pictures from my "home away from home"; my beloved Thailand (bottom, left).

I am, generally speaking, not a big talker (more on the quiet side), but if you hit me on a subject i'm passionate about, the flood gates will open. My style of communication is calm and fact based. Respectful but assertive. I'm floating around in the mostly empty space between being a deep thinker and an "action Jackson", and my port of entry is humour. I love intelligent conversation and I appreciate knowledgeable people I can learn from.

I read a lot. Or at least I try to read as much as possible, as much as I have time for, because reading improves your brain's capacity to process "things" such as thoughts & ideas and it improves your vocabulary and your ability to express yourself in a clear and concise manner.

It's very important to me, that you are comfortable during your shoot, hence my job one is your comfort. Reason for this being, that if you are not comfortable, it will clearly show in your pictures. Guaranteed!

That's why communication is so important, so that we're actually on the same page.

Backlit!

You will come out as a dark silhouette

depending on how strong the backlight & how it's done.

It's a concept I have not done much of but would love to explore further. 

A "faceless" body shoot, meaning no facial recognition factor in a "body landscape" shoot. So, a nude shoot, but you will remain annonymous as the focus is on the curves of the human body intersecting with the light.
