short story: SHOOT ME

He shot her that afternoon, and both really liked the experience.

They'd met a couple of  hours prior, as arranged, in the park, on a glorious afternoon where the sun was shining from a clear, blue sky with a light breeze coming in from the beach and it was pleasantly warm, without being too hot. The tall-grass was swaying gently in the dunes, lush and green, and the driftwood logs offered their privacy to those not keen on a beautiful walk to the far end of the beach.

They'd gone through her vaious outfits, as they'd slowly made their way down the beach, and she'd looked spectacular in each and every one of them. From the fairly conservative one at the first stop, by the first log, to the lighter and more "summery ones", as they moved along the shore-line, admiring everything the sea had washed up onto the beach for them.

Alternating between shore-line and dunes, they'd now made it to the far end of the beach, where the trees offered some respite and privacy, colour to the pictures and a beautiful backdrop of  "forrested" area on the beach.

She'd been curious about the "nude in nature" concept, and they had agreed to try it out, as long as the focus was on beauty, artistic value and creative content.

She put her things down and he suggested that she lie down on the log, on her back, for the first shot. He'd explained his vision and how everything would work, how to do what and constant communication and his seeking her approval before anything would get done, had made her quite comfortable with the whole process.

She'd taken her place on the log, and on his request - and with her approval, he had arranged her hair to fall on the side of the log nearest to the camera, she'd unbuttoned her shirt and let each side fall on each side of the long, while still wearing the shirt, exposing her bra, and on his request, she'd clasped her hands, raised them over her head and arched a back a little bit, making her look chestier than she really was. With the sun coming in from his back, she was beautifully lit up and she knew this would be beautiful.

They'd done a couple of shot like that, in various poses, and she'd become quite comfortable and decided to go fully nude. It was, after all, the only natural state of being, she realized. "It's how we're all born", she figured, very correctly. They'd gone back to the first pose on the log, but with her leg nearest the camera bent, so that there would be no crotch shot, while her hands convered her breasts so that nothing was on display. Fully nude, but very artistic and beautiful, and still perfectly well covered. She really liked the experience. They did a few shots in that style; amongst the trees, on a boulder and in the sand, and then it was time to move on.

His calm manner and their communication about what to do and how to do it, had made her very comfortable and as they rounded, the the very end of the beach and started walking back along the wooded, green trail, the mood was very pleasant and positive.

They did a couple of shots on the wooded trail, going back, with her in the filtered sunlight coming through the green leaves, while he played with various settings and camera modes. Making their way down the green trail, they picked a few fresh blackberries, right off the bush, before they broke off, onto a smaller trail, well hidden by shrubs and greenery, taking them just a few meters down to a lovely spot by the river. The berries were nice and sweet as they watched a tugboat go by, pulling a barge of wood-chips between all the logs, like running a gauntlet.

A couple of very casual shots here and they went to the heath with all the nesting boxes, most of they very well occupied with an abundance of life. Anything from finches, larks and sparrows to hawks, falcons and eagles. She looked up as he pointed to the bright, blue sky where three crows but busy bullying a golden eagle who were most definitely not welcome in the neighbourhood and eventually they managed to chase him across the river and on his way. There was a show unfolding for every eye and every ear, if you were a keen observer, paid attention and were alert. An abundance of "lebensfreude" as the Germans would call it, for both birds and humans alike. "Joie de vivre" en Francais.

The trail across the heath was  an absolute must, a classic, for any photographer. Just the way it's laid out, with the slight bend and the shrubs on one side and the heath itself on the other. Once at the end of the trail on the heath, they were back at the parking lot, but decided to a couple of extra shots to finish off the day. He knew that the benches in the picnic area offered some good, cool and untraditional chill shots, and the open piece of grassland, was over=crowded with seasonal wildflowers of a wide variety of colours. A backdrop that would please and soothe even the most critical eyes.

He had her sit on the top of the bench, with her feet where you'd usually sit, both elbows on her knees, hands folded in front of her. "I'll shoot you in profile", he told her. "Just look over your shoulder, straight into the camera, with a look saying "What the f**k are you looking at, dude". We'll do one with and one without your glasses. I just totally love your looks, both with and without". He always had plenty of praise for her, which made her happy and feel good. They did a couple of poses in the wildflower and decided that enough was enough and so they called it a day. A couple of hours, anyway. They parted, both agreeing that it had been fun and a good experience, and the next morning she woke up to a link to his secure site where she could download all her beautiful memories and she was so excited to see the result.  It was beautiful. She looked gorgeous and she was very, very proud.

She shot him a message to let him know she'd received them, and to let him know that she really liked them. She asked him: "Why are you doing this for free?  You could make money on this". "I'm doing this for free, because it's my passion and I make the money I need via my other jobs in the food industry. I just want to see people smile and I love to create beautiful memories". And beautiful memories she had plenty of now. She beamed a big smile - as big as the bright sun on a clear blue sky, from ear to ear.
