"the greates art in the world is created through intense suffering"
(David Cho)
"i see an eagle in the wood"
(Robert Davidson)
Brian: Two titans, on how they approach their creations. For Robert it starts with a vision. He sees something that nobody else can see. This is the point where people who don't know you, will doubt you and think you are crazy. Robert ended up creating Grouse Mountain's World renowned Eagle Transformation mask.
For David, the inspiration is conveyed through emotional pain and turbulence, like when his friend Anthony Bourdain took his own life, and acting on impulse and spontanatity, he creates sublime works, reflecting his troubled soul.
Reality remains that when you are lying there, on your knees and stomach, on the floor, trying to get the best angle, the best light on a glob of filth that you have been staring at for a while, people tend to look at you a little funny, and think that "now he's really lost it". They most definitely don't "see anything" because they don't have the vision.
